THE TRIP

Serious water time, run by people who dive here

Most “adventure packages” mean a banana-boat ride and a beach. This one doesn’t. It’s built for people who actually want to get under the water — whether that’s your very first breath on a Discover Scuba dive or logging fun dives at Havelock’s best sites as a certified diver. We pair you with a proper PADI dive centre, not a random boat guy, and we plan the dive days around tides and visibility rather than a fixed schedule.

Over 6N/7D you’ll dive Havelock’s reefs, sea walk, snorkel Elephant Beach, and paddle a bioluminescence kayak through the mangroves on a moonless night — one of the most surreal things you can do in India. We keep a couple of days flexible so, if the sea’s better at Nemo Reef than The Wall on a given morning, we move you to where the diving is good.

Certified? Bring your card and log book — we’ll get you to the deeper sites like Barracuda City and The Wall. First-timer or non-swimmer? A Discover Scuba dive is completely beginner-safe with an instructor holding on the whole time. Tell us your level and we’ll build the dive days around it, with everything itemised.

DAY BY DAY

Your 6N/7D adventure & scuba itinerary

A sample flow — dive days flex with sea conditions and your certification level.

DAY 1 · ARRIVE PORT BLAIR

Land & the Cellular Jail show

Airport pickup and hotel check-in. An easy evening at Corbyn’s Cove, then the Cellular Jail light-and-sound show. We run through the plan for the dive days and answer any first-timer nerves over dinner.

DAY 2 · PORT BLAIR → HAVELOCK

Cross over & Radhanagar

A 2.5-hour private ferry to Havelock (Swaraj Dweep), the diving capital of the islands. Check into a stay near the dive centre, then wind down at Radhanagar Beach and get an early night before your first dive.

DAY 3 · HAVELOCK · DIVE DAY 1

First dive with a PADI centre

Your first proper dive. Beginners do a guided Discover Scuba dive at a calm site like Nemo Reef or The Aquarium with an instructor one-on-one; certified divers head to Barracuda City or Lighthouse. Afternoon to rest — diving is more tiring than it looks.

DAY 4 · HAVELOCK · DIVE DAY 2

Elephant Beach & bioluminescence by night

A second dive or a snorkel-and-sea-walk combo at Elephant Beach — the site flexes to the day’s conditions. After dark, a guided bioluminescence kayak through the mangroves, where every paddle stroke lights up the water. Unforgettable, and only on the right nights.

DAY 5 · HAVELOCK → NEIL

Neil Island reef & sunset

A 45-minute ferry to Neil (Shaheed Dweep). Snorkel Bharatpur’s shallow coral, laze on Sitapur, and catch the famous Laxmanpur sunset by the natural rock bridge. A slower, gorgeous day to let the diving settle before you fly.

DAY 6 · NEIL → PORT BLAIR

North Bay & a last island night

Ferry back to Port Blair. Afternoon at North Bay for a coral tour, or a Ross Island history walk. A final island evening — and time to back up all those underwater photos and videos.

DAY 7 · DEPARTURE

Surface interval over

A relaxed breakfast, then a private transfer to the airport — we always leave a safe gap between your last dive and your flight. We stay on WhatsApp for the log-book details and, of course, the next dive trip.

★★★★★

“As a certified diver I expected generic ‘beach tour’ nonsense. Instead they knew the dive sites, paired me with a proper PADI centre, and adjusted for sea conditions. Real divers run this.”

Vikram S. — Mumbai · Scuba, 7N/8D

DIVER QUESTIONS

What divers ask us

The honest answers we give on WhatsApp every day.

Is the dive centre PADI-certified? And can I dive if I’m not certified?

Yes — we only work with established PADI dive centres in Havelock, with certified instructors and maintained gear, never a casual boat operator. If you’re not certified, a “Discover Scuba” dive lets you experience the reef safely with an instructor one-on-one, no prior experience or swimming ability required (ages 10+). If you want to go further, we can add a full PADI Open Water course to your trip — just tell us and we’ll build in the extra days.

Which dive sites, and are they crowded?

Beginner-friendly sites include Nemo Reef, The Aquarium and Lighthouse; certified divers head to Barracuda City, The Wall and South Button for deeper walls and bigger marine life — turtles, reef sharks and schooling fish. Havelock is far less crowded than the videos of popular spots elsewhere suggest, and because we live here, we route you to the quieter site on any given day rather than the one everyone defaults to.

When’s the best time to dive, and what’s the visibility like?

The dive season runs roughly October to May, with the clearest water and calmest seas from December to April — visibility often 15–30 metres on a good day. We plan the dive days around tides and daily conditions rather than a fixed schedule, and if a site is choppy we move you to a sheltered one. We’ll give you an honest read on what to expect for your specific dates before you book.
