The Trip

A holiday where everyone actually has fun

Planning a family trip is a juggling act — the kids want action, your parents want to take it slow, and you just want nobody stressed or seasick. We plan Andaman family holidays every week for exactly this mix, and the whole route below is built around calm seas, short drives and activities that suit every age.

The big worry we hear most is the ferries. So we book the private ones (Makruzz, Nautika, Green Ocean) with comfortable indoor seating, not the crowded government boats — and we time crossings for the calmer part of the day. Sea walking lets even non-swimmers and grandparents walk the ocean floor in a weighted helmet, and snorkelling is always with a life jacket and a guide beside you.

You get a private AC cab for the whole family, 3★ hotels with rooms that fit everyone, and a named local coordinator on WhatsApp the entire trip — so if a child’s tired or a plan needs shifting, you message one person and we handle it. Tell us your family’s ages and we’ll fine-tune the pacing.

Day by Day

Your 5N/6D family itinerary

A sample flow — we tune the pacing and activities to your family’s ages.

Day 1 · Arrive Port Blair

Easy arrival & the Cellular Jail show

We meet you at the airport with a private AC cab and settle everyone into the hotel. A gentle first evening at Corbyn’s Cove Beach, then the Cellular Jail light-and-sound show — a story the kids and grandparents both remember. No early starts on day one.

Day 2 · Port Blair

Ross Island & North Bay fun

A short boat to Ross Island (Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Island) — deer and peacocks roam the colonial ruins, a hit with children. Then North Bay for a glass-bottom boat ride over live coral and optional sea walking, which needs no swimming at all. Back for a relaxed evening.

Day 3 · Port Blair → Havelock

Cross to Havelock & Radhanagar

A calm 2.5-hour private ferry to Havelock (Swaraj Dweep). After lunch, Radhanagar Beach — wide, safe, shallow-entry water where the kids can play while elders relax under the shade. One of Asia’s most-loved beaches, and easy for everyone.

Day 4 · Havelock

Elephant Beach & gentle water time

A boat ride to Elephant Beach for shallow snorkelling with life jackets and guides, plus sea walking for anyone who’d rather not swim. Older kids can try a banana-boat ride; the little ones and grandparents enjoy the sand. A free afternoon to rest before the next island.

Day 5 · Havelock → Neil

Slow, safe day on Neil Island

A quick 45-minute ferry to Neil (Shaheed Dweep), the calm one. Bharatpur Beach’s glassy shallows are ideal for kids, and Laxmanpur delivers a beautiful, unhurried sunset. Fewer crowds, gentler pace — a lovely wind-down before heading home.

Day 6 · Departure

Homeward, with sandy shoes

A calm morning ferry back to Port Blair and a private transfer to the airport in good time for your afternoon flight — we plan the timings so there’s no rush with kids and luggage. And we stay on WhatsApp right up to the gate.

Family Questions

What parents ask us

The honest answers we give on WhatsApp every day.

Is Andaman safe for young kids and elderly parents?

Yes — it’s one of the easiest island destinations in India for mixed-age families. The beaches we choose (Radhanagar, Bharatpur, Corbyn’s Cove) are calm and shallow-entry, sea walking needs no swimming, and we pace the days so nobody is exhausted. Port Blair has a government hospital and Havelock a primary health centre, and your coordinator is one WhatsApp message away throughout.

Are the ferries rough? My parents get seasick.

We book the private ferries — Makruzz, Nautika and Green Ocean — which have enclosed, air-conditioned seating and are far steadier than the open government boats. We also schedule crossings for the calmer morning window where we can. If someone is prone to seasickness, we’ll suggest simple precautions and seat you accordingly. Rough-weather days are rare in season (Oct–May), and we monitor conditions daily.

What about food — will my kids and south Indian parents be happy?

Absolutely. Port Blair and Havelock both have plenty of vegetarian and South Indian options alongside fresh seafood, and hotel breakfasts are included daily. We don’t lock lunches and dinners into the package so your family can eat what it likes, but we’ll happily recommend the spots we actually eat at — including where to find a proper dosa and where the seafood is freshest.
